FAQ

Here are some of our most asked questions regarding the Employee Retention Credit process and funding.

The Employee Retention Credit (ERC) is a valuable resource for businesses facing financial challenges due to the pandemic. This program, established under the CARES Act, provides a credit for a portion of wages paid to employees by eligible employers. The IRS will issue a check to your business for the amount you qualify to receive, which you can use as you see fit – there is no need to repay the funds or restrict their use in any way.
The Employee Retention Credit (ERC) program is designed to provide financial support to businesses and 501(c) organizations that have been impacted by the pandemic. To be eligible for the program, a business or organization must have had its operations suspended or limited due to the pandemic, or must meet certain economic tests. Organizations with 500 or fewer full-time employees can use the ERC to cover all employee compensation, including wages and health benefits, for all employees. For businesses with more than 500 employees, there are special rules that may apply and the credit may only be available for employees who were inactive during suspended or limited operations. If you’re not sure whether your business or organization is eligible for the employer retention credit, try our 3 minute questionnaire to qualify.
If your business or organization is eligible, you can receive a credit of up to $26,000 per employee through the program.
